"The Story of Split" was a project born from my winning of the 2016 Hasselblad Masters award and created for the Masters book with the theme "INSPIRE." The core motivation for this series came from a piece of advice my father gave me as a teenager: “God splits his blessing in the early morning.” This idea motivated me to begin this body of work. I was reminded that inspiration isn't a rare event, but an ever present force in our daily lives. Every morning, with the rising of the sun, a fresh start is offered to everyone in this world, especially those who feel lost. It is a universal call to have the courage to rise and embrace the possibilities of a new day.
